My biggest pet peeve June 17, 2008

One of my biggest pet peeves is people that complain about something all the time but don’t do anything about it. Or, they keep doing what they have been doing, but can’t figure out why it’s not working.
Albert Einstein once said
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.
If the situation is something you feel you can’t change, or it has to do with another person who won’t change, then you have three options:
- Don’t do anything and continue to be unhappy about it. This is the easiest option…but it is the hardest for everyone around you if you constantly complain to them!
- Accept the situation for what it is and move on. You aren’t going to get what you want (in your mind), so accept it and just live with it.
- Accept the situation but change your attitude toward it. Change the way you look at it, make it a better situation in your mind, be grateful for any good coming your way from it, even if it is just a little thing. This is the best solution in my opinion…you’d be surprised what can happen if you just change your attitude – you may even get the change you thought was impossible!
As Wayne Dyer says,
“Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change”.

Right now, I’m into 2 books. I love them so much, I probably will end up buying them (I get most of my books from the library). They are helping me a lot right now.
The first one is Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers. It’s really helping me with my Juice Plus+ business and helping me conquer my fear of driving. It’s getting me out of my comfort zone which is great! Fear tends to make us see or believe things that are not really there. Once we change our thinking about areas where we are afraid, we see that things are not that scary at all. Lots of exercises to do to help you get through the fear and it’s ability to exaggerate what could happen.
The second book is The Key: The Missing Secret for Attracting Anything You Want by Joe Vitale. This book explains why the Law of Attraction may not be working in your favor. Conciously, we may be postive, visualizing, and intending what we want, but subconsciously, our beliefs are negating what we are doing. For example, you want more money, but subconciously you believe that you don’t deserve it, it will never happen, rich people are terrible people, money only comes through hard work, etc. This book shows you how to “clear” those beliefs and allow the Law of Attraction to work for you.
What books are you reading?

First post on a new blog…what to say??
Well, basically this blog was started to try and make me accountable for organizing my home. Laura over at Organizing Junkie inspired me to start work on Matthew’s (my kiddo) playroom. So, that is my mission for the month. I will take a picture of the monstrosity that is the playroom as it is now, and when it is organized – hopefully by the end of the month! It’s gotta be done – Matthew doesn’t play in the playroom because it is so messy, so the toys end up all over the house.
This blog is also going to be about other areas of life, personal posts and information that I’d like to share. Maybe some of you will find it useful!
